It has been nine months since Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth called off their engagement.
And now the singer is telling the real story behind their break-up – in song.
On Friday, secret track Last Goodbye leaked onto the internet but within a few hours had been removed from YouTube.

However, not before fans manged to write down the lyrics – and it seems there is good reason Last Goodbye did not make it on to the album.
While her now infamous track Wrecking Ball touched on her sadness following her split from her fiance, Miley does not hold back on her secret track.

In the song the 21-year-old sings, as reported by Hollywood Life: ‘We never said that we would be perfect, We only said that we tried.’
Seemingly pointing the finger at Liam: ‘And when you said that we were forever, I guess that’s just another lie, Let me slip right through your fingers, I hope you know it’s real this time.’
While when a tiny snippet first was leaked in 2013 it was thought the song may have been about her dog that passed away, the full song tells another story with the Can’t Stop star singing about breaking up twice before.
Prior to their September 2013 split the pair had broken up twice in 2010 before rekindling their relationship.
Addressing their pattern of getting back together, Miley says in Last Goodbye: ‘I don’t wanna let you go if you still love me, Cause I don’t wanna see you cry.
‘But it feels like you and I are dying, And there’s no one that can save our lives.’
The song’s release comes after reports the 21-year-old star is struggling to get Liam – whom she met on the set of film Last Song – back.
A source told Life & Style: ‘May was hard for Miley, the anniversary [of their engagement] has made her more depressed – she realises how much she misses her life with Liam. She is obsessed with him and really wants him back.’
However the insider said it is not the same for Liam: “It’s completely over for him and he just wants to move on.’
