He may have developed a reputation as a tough guy rapper over the years but Jay Z is very much a family man these days.
The 44-year-old star enjoyed a day out with his two-year-old daughter Blue Ivy in New Orleans on Friday, heading out for lunch before popping into a children’s store.
Blue wore a pretty summery peach and white dress for her outing, while her doting dad sported a white T-shirt, black jeans and crisp white trainers.

The star appeared to be without wife Beyonce for part of the day, although she was later seen emerging from the same store wearing a pastel-coloured long playsuit teamed with black heels.
The couple were in New Orleans to visit Beyonce’s sister Solange – who lives in the Louisiana city – following last week’s leaked footage of the now infamous elevator incident following the New York Met Gala.
Footage showed Solange lashing out wildly at her 44-year-old brother-in-law with both her arms and her legs inside a hotel elavator, while Beyonce stood beside them looking curiously impassive.

Following the incident, Solange and Beyonce released a statement taking joint responsibility for the incident and revealing they ‘have apologized to each other’ and ‘moved forward as a united family.’
Beyonce has since posted several photographs of her family enjoying lunch over the weekend in the city, including one snapshot showing herself, Jay Z, Solange and mother Tina in a united pose.
Blue Ivy, who was born on January 7 2012 in New York City, has given Jay Z a ‘renewed focus’ in his life. The rapper told Radio One last year: ‘Her energy and presence gave me the focus again to remind you exactly who I am.’

She also apparently listens to her father’s music and particularly enjoys his most recent album Magna Carta Holy Grail.
‘She loves all the songs,’ he proudly told Vanity Fair last year. ‘She plays a song and she goes, “More, Daddy, more… Daddy song.” She’s my biggest fan.
‘If no one bought the Magna Carta [album], the fact that she loves it so much, it gives me the greatest joy. And that’s not like a cliché. I’m really serious. She’s genuine, she’s honest, because she doesn’t know it makes me happy. She just wants to hear it.’
