On the road to recovery: Deryck Whibley was seen on Monday, for the first time since revealing alcoholism nearly killed him
The rock star, 34, was pictured on Monday for the first time since the emotional post on his website on Friday.
Deryck was almost unrecognisable and incredibly frail as he stepped out in Los Angeles, supported by his fiancée Jocelyn Aguilar and another woman.
The two women each held one of Deryck’s hands to assist him as they left a building and walked down the street together.

The Canadian singer dressed his small, thin frame in all-black, sporting a T-shirt under a hoodie and jeans, along with white trainers and a grey cap.
Deryck looked happy to be getting a second chance at a healthy life after apparently suffering severe damage to his organs.
In his moving website post, the Grammy-nominated musician revealed he had been seriously ill in hospital, and had spent a week unconscious and attached to an IV drip.
Emotional: Deryck is getting better after posting about how he will die if he has one more drink on his website
‘I was drinking hard every day. Until one night. I was sitting at home, poured myself another drink around midnight and was about to watch a movie when all of a sudden I didn’t feel so good,’ the musician wrote in a post.
His fiancée rushed him to hospital, where he was later told that his kidneys and liver had collapsed, Rolling Stone reported.
‘Needless to say it scared me straight. I finally realized I can’t drink anymore. If I have one drink the doc’s say I will die,’ he said.
The singer added: ‘I’m not preaching or anything but just always drink responsibly. I didn’t, and look where that got me.’

Wake up call: The rock star posted pictures of him hooked up to wires and an IV drip as he warned his fans of the dangers of drinking
He said: ‘I was stuck with needles and IVs all over. I was completely sedated the first week. When I finally woke up … I had no idea where I was. My mum and step dad were standing over me. I was so freaked out.’
Whibley has a clear cut approach to his recent health scare, telling fans: ‘The reason I got so sick is from all the hard boozing I’ve been doing over the years. It finally caught up to me.’
While the self-confessed hard drinker can no longer have any alcohol, Whibley, whose band last released an album in 2011, has said being forced to quit drinking has renewed his creativity.
‘I already have a few song ideas for new songs. Soon it will be time to start making an album and getting back to touring again,’ he wrote.
