Sherri Shepherd is embroiled in yet another custody battle, this time with her ex-husband Jeffrey Tarpley, according to reports.
The View host has recently been in the news as she fights her current husband Lamar Sally over custody of their unborn child, via surrogate, in a bitter divorce.
And now the 47-year-old is alleged to be under attack in another child custody litigation, as her ex Tarpley claims she is neglecting their nine-year-old special needs son.

TMZ reports that Tarpley is claiming that their son Jeffrey Jr. is nearly illiterate and does not know how to even tie his shoelaces.
Tarpley, a comedian, says Sherri is a neglectful mother who is too busy tending to her successful television career to properly look after their son.
The funnyman is pushing for full physical custody of Jeffrey Jr. as he believes the boy is being raised mostly by ‘unskilled nannies’.
Not so happy now: Jeffrey Tarpley was married to Sherri from 2001 to 2010, pictured in Los Angeles in 2005
In addition, Tarpley lives in California while his ex and son live in New Jersey – he wants the boy to move across the country to be with him full time.
But Sherri has hit back in her own court filings, claiming that Tarpley is an absentee father and does not deserve to have a role in her son’s life.
The presiding judge has set an official hearing for July to settle the dispute.
Tarpley’s filing precedes the current custody case between Lamar and Sherri.
Sherri and Lamar are expecting a baby by surrogate on July 28.
Shepherd, had not mentioned custody arrangements in her divorce documents earlier this month, but according to TMZ, does ask the court to ‘enforce their prenuptial agreement’ which she believes would give her the right to full physical custody of the new child.

The website reports that under terms of the prenup, Lamar ‘agrees that the new child will live with Sherri and her son Jeffrey from a previous relationship.’
This means Shepherd would get ‘full physical custody of the new baby,’ despite Sally’s request to only allow basic visitation rights to the talk show host.
But Sally wants the legal document ‘invalidated on grounds of fraud’ and he’s enlisted attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represented Kevin Federline during the Britney Spears divorce. If the prenup is invalidated, he will then be able to fight for full custody.

TMZ suggests Sally may want the prenup invalidated for other reasons. It stipulates he will only receive a lump sum of $60,000 if the marriage lasts two to five years – the couple wed in 2011.
And in contrast to Sally’s $30,000 earnings, Shepherd apparently made a whopping $1 million back in 2010. An invalidated prenuptial agreement could mean he’s entitled to spousal support.

Shedding pounds: Meanwhile, Sherri’s estranged husband Lamar Sally bragged about his 50-pound weight loss, which he dubbed the ‘divorce diet’
The former stand-up comic has a nine-year-old son Jeffrey with ex-husband comedian Jeff Tarpley, whom she divorced in 2009 after he got his mistress pregnant.
Sherri – who also recently dropped 60 pounds – is a devout Christian who doesn’t believe in evolution.
Later this year, Shepherd will appear in Chris Rock’s reality TV-inspired comedy Finally Famous alongside Rosario Dawson, Kevin Hart, and Gabrielle Union.
